12th Annual Mesalands Community College Intercollegiate Rodeo @ Quay County Rodeo Arena
Oct 11 @ 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm

The 12th Annual Mesalands Community College Grand Canyon Region Intercollegiate Rodeo will be on October 11-12, 2019 and will be held at the Quay County Rodeo Arena.

The first Rodeo Performance is Friday, October 11 at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, October 12, Slack will begin at 9:00 am (no charge) and the Championship Performance is at 6:00 pm.

Free admission for Mesalands students, staff, and faculty (Must show College ID at the gate). Tickets are $5, free for children under the age of 12 (accompanied by a paying adult), and seniors 55 and over are $2.

Fossil Day Festival @ Mesalands Dinosaur Museum

The Mesalands Community College’s Dinosaur Museum and Natural Sciences Laboratory will be offering free admission for the Fossil Day Festival on October 12, 2019, from 12-5 pm.

Participate in paleontology demonstrations and dig for dinosaur fossils. Check out local food trucks and Museum merchandise (t-shirts, minerals, toys, books, and more).

Buried Secrets Paranormal: Tucumcari History Museum @ Tucumcari Historical Museum

Join KTNM/KQAY at the Tucumcari Historical Museum for night of spooks and spectacle! The Buried Secrets Paranormal team will be on site Saturday October 12 from 6 pm- 10 pm to perform a paranormal investigation. There have been rumors of a ghost or two haunting the halls. This is your chance to (try) and see for yourself!

A donation of $20 per person will earn you the chance to attend this hands on investigation with EMF detectors, audio recorders, dowsing rods and more. Limited space is available so contact Karen at KTNM/KQAY to reserve your spot.
